He passed away peacefully on July 16, 2026 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia. Giovanni was predeceased by his wife Corradina (2022) Cherished father of Sebastiana (Robert), Carmela (Vasilios), and Salvatore (Margaret). Nonno of Armando (Carlene), Luciano, Evagelia, Giovanni, and Christopher. Bis-Nonno of Corradina, and Matthew. Dear brother of Theresa, pre-deceased by his siblings Sebastiano, Maria, Francesco, Mario, Santo, Rosina, and Saveria. Giovanni Mallia will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like thank the staff at OSMH for the exceptional care and compassion shown towards their father. Visitation will be held at the Mangan Funeral Home, on Thursday July 23rd from 11A.M. until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1P.M. Interment St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery Brechin. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made by cheque through Mangan Funeral Home or online to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Foundation.
