LEE, Henry Seto Lee

Passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 95.

Beloved husband of the late Jean Teresa (Wong).

Loving father of Victor (Deborah), Janet and Eric.

Dear brother of Kim (Tim Xie), Don (Susan) and Judy (Jack Leung).

Brother-in-law of Foo Wong (Mona) and Jeannie (David Thomas)

Will be missed by his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and his many friends.

Devoted son of the late Fushen Seto and Ruiyun Lee.

Born in Muk Zheng, China, Henry (also known as Hank) immigrated to Canada in 1950 and was a restaurateur in Oshawa and later a chef at Brookside School in Cobourg.

Henry Seto Lee found joy in his family, art, and fishing. First and foremost, he was the devoted and loving husband of Jean for 56 years. He was also an accomplished painter, versed in oil and water colours. When he wasn’t fishing with friends and family at the Ganaraska River or Rice Lake, he could be found in his workshop crafting custom fishing rods, tying flies, or carving his sought after wooden lures.

Henry’s family would like to extend their thanks to a special group of dear friends and neighbours whose help allowed him to extend his time living at home.

We are also grateful to the staff of Northumberland Hills Hospital, Castleview Wychwood Towers, and Toronto Western Hospital for their outstanding care in these last few months.

Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East Cobourg, on Friday August 7th from 7pm – 9pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday August 8th at 2pm with visitation on hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cobourg.

Following interment at Saint Michael’s Cemetery, a celebration of life will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 232 Spencer St E, Cobourg.
