ESSEX, David Alan Essex

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of David Alan Essex. He passed away peacefully at Ian Anderson House Hospice on August 8, 2026, at the age of 77.

David lived a beautiful life filled with purpose, laughter, and kind-heartedness. He leaves behind Gail, his loving wife and soulmate of over 45 years. David also leaves behind a family that loved him deeply: his sons Kevin (Melanie) and Darryl (Gabby); his cherished grandchildren Brooklyn, Abygale, Clara and Gabriel. David is predeceased by his parents Alan and Elinor.

David was a loving and caring brother, who leaves behind his sister Karin and brother Craig (Debbie).

David will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

David spent 50 years as a trusted mechanic and automotive salesman, and made the most of his time off making memories with his loving family. As well as spending time at the cottage at Blue Water Beach, and Georgian Bay, where he loved to sail, which was his passion for over 40 years.

David will be sadly missed. His kindness, devotion to those he loved, and caring spirit lit the world around him and will continue to be held dearly in the memories of those he touched throughout his life.
