CHARBONNEAU, Ann Charbonneau

A resident of Chatham, Ann Charbonneau passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on August 15, 2026 at the age of 88.

Born in Blenheim, Ann was the daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret (née Embury) Charbonneau.

She will be lovingly reunited with her late husband, Herman DeWael.

Cherished step-mother to the late Randy DeWael (Robin).

Predeceased by her siblings Noreen Montenko (the late Gerry) and Bob Charbonneau.

Aunt to Allan (Jane) Montenko, Sheryl (Terry) Blatz, Judy (Ernie) Tulp and Maryann Hornick.

Ann will be missed by extended family and friends.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Maple City Retirement Residence, Bayshore Home Health, Chatham-Kent Hospice, and to McKinlay Funeral Home for their care and compassion.

Family to receive friends at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10:00 am until service time. Burial to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
