It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Nancy Martha Mazzocchi (Vanderzwet), at the age of 90.
She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Monday August 11, 2025.
Nancy was born on August 31, 1934, Roelofarendsveen in the Netherlands, to John and Adrianna Vanderzwet.
In her early years, Nancy moved to Canada, where she built a life full of love and devotion. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Filippo, with whom she will now be reunited in heaven.
Nancy was the loving and caring mother of Rosella (Barry), Rino (Vickie), Nancy (Steve), and Philip (Paula). She was the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren: Brittany, Austin, Darren, Philip, Chelsea, Ayrton, Matthew, Alyssa, Nadia, and Rosalyn, and great grandmother of: Brantley, Ferryn, and Mackenzie.
Nancy’s love will forever live in the hearts of her children.
A loving sister, Nancy was predeceased by sisters Helen, Nelli, Cathy, Wilma, Sophie and brothers Gerard, John and is survived by her brother Frank.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but we find comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with the love of her life, Filippo.
Mom, you will be in our hearts forever.

A visitation will be held at Oshawa Funeral Home 847 King St West, Oshawa on Sunday August 17th from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Monday August 18th at 10:30 a.m.
