It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Thomas Noseworthy “Tom” who left us, surrounded by his loving family, on June 19th, 2025.
Tom was the beloved husband of Sandra, with whom he shared 57 years of love, laughter, and memories. A devoted and loving father Tom leaves behind his daughters, Donna (Mark) and Kristine. A cherished grandfather to his eight adoring grandchildren; Elyssa (Connor), Mason (Stephanie), Kaily (Kevin), Brooklyn, Benett, Haidyn, Matthew and Cameron. Tom’s family was the center of his world, and his pride in them was evident to all who knew him. In recent years, he embraced the special role of great-grandfather, lovingly known as “Pa” to seven beautiful great-grandchildren, a title he wore with endless joy.
Tom is predeceased by his parents Stanley and Betty (Woolcott), brother Gary and brother-in-law Gary. He will be dearly missed by his siblings Arthur (Bonnie), Violet (Boris, predeceased) and his sister-in-law Joy (Bob, predeceased) and by his many nieces and nephews whom he adored.
Tom dedicated many years of his life as the store manager at Canadian Tire at Kennedy and Lawrence, before moving on to both Whitby locations at Home Depot, where he formed lasting friendships and took great pride in his work. His willingness to teach, and genuine care for others left an unforgettable mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
Outside of work, Tom loved life’s simple pleasures. He had a fondness for long country drives, fishing trips with family, and his daily Tim Hortons coffee. A true enthusiast of technology, Tom was never afraid to embrace the newest gadgets.
He was loved beyond measure, and his absence leaves a space that can never be filled. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their kindness, love, and support during this time.
A celebration of life will be held to honour Tom’s life and legacy.
