With heavy hearts, the family announces that Bill passed away peacefully at Almonte Country Haven on Sunday morning, June 8, 2025. William Frederick Parsons, a longtime resident of Braeside and Arnprior, was 88 years old. Bill was the loving husband of Linda (nee Schlievert), and the cherished father of Michael (Helen Proulx) and Valerie Parsons (Tim Burnette).
Bill was also a proud grandpa to Jacob (Destiny), Quinten, Tegan, and Cooper, and a great-grandpa to Ayden and Marlee. He was a dear brother to Peter Parsons (Hannie) and predeceased by his parents, William “Chief” and Margaret (nee Haime) Parsons.
A lifelong carpenter, Bill lived a simple life and enjoyed being with people, always eager to help others. He will be remembered as a kind and generous man who would do anything for anyone.
Bill’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Pilon Family Funeral Home in Arnprior, where visitation will be held on Thursday morning, June 12th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted in the Pilon Family Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Albert Street Cemetery will take place at a later date.
In memory of Bill, donations may be made to the Arnprior District Humane Society.
