It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, step-mother, grandmother, and GG on June 5, 2025 at the age of 85 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
Predeceased by her parents Francis Owens (1972) and Jane Owens, nee Roy (1977), and also by her sisters Agnes, Margaret, Jean and May all from Glasgow, Scotland.
Predeceased by her loving husband Donald E.G. Street (2012). Betty will be sadly missed by her children Linda McIntyre, Scott (Kim) Buchanan, and John (Christine) Buchanan and her step-children Nigel Street and Elizabeth (Karl) Born.
Proud and devoted grandmother of David (Carly), Taryn (Stephen), Ian (Lesley), Laura, Alasdair, Lachlan, Calum, James (Rachel), and step-grandchildren Steve, and Courtney.
Betty’s heart was fullest when surrounded by the ‘little loves of her life’, her precious great-grandchildren; Aurora, Dawson, Riley, Baker, Emery, and Maisie, who affectionately knew her as GG.

Betty’s gentle spirit and unwavering love will be missed by all who knew her.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for her immediate family.
