In Loving Memory of Our Father It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Peter Lewis Colautti, on Saturday August 22nd, at the age of 74. Born on April 9, 1952, to Joseph Sr. Colautti and Rachel Colautti, Peter grew up knowing the importance of family, hard work, kindness and perseverance. Those values remained with him throughout his life and became an important part of the legacy he passed on to his children and family. Dad was, above all else, a hardworking man. He believed that showing up, working hard, and providing for his family were some of life’s greatest responsibilities. He devoted much of his life to building and supporting the family business, pouring countless hours, determination, and pride into the work he did. His work ethic was something he quietly passed on to his children and a lesson that will remain with us for generations. But beyond the work, Dad’s greatest role was being a father. He loved his family deeply. Whether through his advice, his humour, his stories, or simply being there when he was needed, he showed his love in many different ways. Family gatherings, shared meals, conversations, and time spent together created memories that we will treasure forever. Our father was a caring, generous, loving man. Peter was a beloved father who leaves behind his son, Peter Colautti Jr. (Kristin) and daughter, Nicole Arnold (Kevin). He was a beloved brother to Rosemarie Colautti (David), and Joseph Colautti Jr. (Virginia). Peter leaves behind his beloved partner and best friend Cathy Wissenz. Peter will be dearly remembered by his god son/nephew John Doerr, cousin Steve Bortolussi, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter’s story was ultimately one of family, and love. We will remember his strength, determination, sense of humour, dedication to providing for those he loved, and the lessons he taught us through both the good times and the difficult ones, including his courageous 5 year battle with cancer. We will remember the laughter, the memories, and the moments that made him Dad.
