It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David Alan Snowden on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 83. David was the beloved husband of the late Colleen (Murphy) Snowden (2015) and a devoted father to Sandi (Brian) Letson, and stepfather to Joe and the late Kim (2021). He was a cherished grandfather to Adam and Ethan Letson and a fond step-grandfather to Tom (Tina) Spencer, as well as step-great-grandchildren Jasmine, Katie, Tommy, and Abbey.
David is survived by his siblings Margaret (Len) Goodmurphy, Sandra (Robert) Goodmurphy, and Jim (Stephanie) Snowden, along with extended family from the Murphy family. He was predeceased by his parents, Alan and Dorothy (Wilkins) Snowden, and his siblings Henry, Helen, Edna, Mary, Samuel, and Elva.
David’s life was a legacy of love, family, and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Bowmanville Legion Branch 178, 109 King St. E., Bowmanville.
