Joan Mary (Colby) Hope
April 18, 1935 – October 31, 2024
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joan Mary Hope (née Colby) on October 31, 2024, at Uxbridge Hospital at the age of 89. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, Merle Hope, and her son, Steven Dale Hope. She will be dearly missed by her sons, John Hope and Ron Hope (Elaine), her grandchildren, Susie Swagerman (Derek) and Tom Hope, and her cherished siblings Eleanor Dunn (late Al), twin brother John Colby (late Anne), and Ross Colby (Alice).
Joan was a dedicated resident of Uxbridge, known for her love of gardening and tending to her flowerbeds. She enjoyed attending local garage sales with her friend and neighbor Mabel, and she was always supportive of her family’s interests, proudly attending her grandchildren’s baseball games.
Cremation has been entrusted to Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, and a private ceremony will be held at a later date. Joan’s family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Trinity United Church or the Arthritis Society, honoring her memory and values.
