Isabelle Marie Reine Guyett
7-Feb-1935 – 8-Oct-2024

Forever In Our Hearts, Isabelle Marie Reine Guyett (nee Emond), the beloved Matriarch of her family, passed peacefully at the age of 89 on October 8, 2024, surrounded by her children. Born in Lac-Ste-Marie, Quebec, on February 7, 1935, to Donné Emond and Marie Anne Sicard, Isabelle lived a full and generous life.

On September 20, 1954, Isabelle married the love of her life, Bernard “Bernie” Guyett, and together they enjoyed 67 wonderful years. The couple helped run the Continental Hotel in Arthur, ON, and soon started their family. Isabelle was deeply involved in her community, devoting time to the Catholic Church and the Breakfast Club. She also found joy in fiber arts, 5-pin bowling, curling, golf, and baking with her children and grandchildren.

Isabelle is survived by her brother Norman Emond (Marlene); her children, Mike, James, Linda (Eric), Ron (Kelly), Len, and Steve (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Kate, Christine (Dan), Ashleigh (Kyle), Matthew, Michael (Kristine), Jeffrey (Gaynelle), Jaime (Tyler), Jocelyn, and Elia; and great-grandchildren, Aislinn, Hannah, Chloé, Aaron, Alexandra, Sterling, Remi, and Brayden. She is reunited in peace with her husband Bernard; her brothers, Reg and Rudy; and her sister, Collette.

A memorial service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 18th, followed by a reception.

Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery.
