It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Myra June Bevan, who peacefully went to be with her Lord at the age of 93, on June 20, 2026.
June was born on June 6, 1933, in Provost, Alberta, to James and Berneice Hughes of Metiskow, Alberta. After marriage to her husband, Ed, they made their home on the Bevan farm north of Cadogan, Alberta, where they raised their family. June took great pride in tending a beautiful garden, preparing countless home-cooked meals, sewing clothing, and lovingly crocheting and knitting treasures for her family.
Throughout her life, she also pursued a deep love of study and writing, finding joy in reading, learning, and expressing her thoughts through the written word. After residing in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, for a number of years, Ed and June moved to the province of B.C. where they settled in Kelowna.
June was a devoted housewife for more than 60 years. She was a loving mother to Lorna (Paul), Joyce (Errol), and Wesley (Edna), and a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and four siblings. She is survived by three siblings, Delores, Velma, and Eunice; sister-in-law, Laura; her three children; all her grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
June will be remembered for her warm smile, kind and loving nature, and unwavering faith.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sun Pointe Village in Kelowna for the years June enjoyed in independent living, and for the compassionate care they provided during her final days.

A service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM (PDT), at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service; a recording will be made available to view in 3-5 days.
