Ruth Ellen Leitch (née Foster) passed away at North Lambton Lodge in Forest on October 1, 2026, at the age of 96. Born in Tilbury East Township, she later made her home in Sarnia with her husband, Donald Edwin Leitch, and worked for more than 28 years with Union Gas.
Ruth is remembered by her children Donald Neil and Jeananne and their families, her grandchildren Ailsa, Anika, and Aislinn, and her sisters Marion and Marjorie. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, and sisters.
Visitation will be held October 5 at Smith Funeral Home in Sarnia. The funeral service will follow October 6, with burial at Kilmartin Cemetery in Glencoe. Donations may be made to The Lodge Auxiliary in support of North Lambton Lodge.
