William “Scott” Lewis died peacefully at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on October 11, 2026, following a brief battle with cancer. Born on November 24, 1959, Scott was the beloved husband of Christine Crone-Lewis and a devoted father to Jacob, Nathan, Katie and Jon.
Known to many as “Lefty 72,” he is remembered for his humour, storytelling, love of classic rock, camping trips and the everyday moments he shared with family and friends. His family also remembers the companionship of his dog, Iris.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Scott’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or celebration of life. Memorial donations may be made to the Lowbanks Firefighters Association.
