Mostafa Assadollahi

Mostafa Assadollahi, a pioneer of modern graphic design, passed away peacefully at his home in Toronto, Canada, on October 9, 2024. Born on May 13, 1950, in Tehran, Iran, Mostafa’s contributions to the field of graphic arts had a lasting impact.
He studied design and graphic arts at Tehran University and later at the Sorbonne in Paris, combining minimalism with cultural motifs in his work. His influence on contemporary Iranian graphics is profound, shaping the visual landscape with his personal tone. Mostafa also taught at the Tehran University of Fine Arts and was one of the founders of the Iranian Graphic Designers Association.
In 1983, Mostafa married Mehrnaz Kokabi in Tehran, and they went on to raise two daughters, Negar and Bahar. He will be remembered not only for his artistic talent but also for his dedication as an educator, helping to inspire and guide future generations of Iranian designers.
An interment service will be held at Elgin Mills Cemetery on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. Please meet at the burial site in Section 37, Lot 369.
