Marion Roberta Deighton
November 2, 1921 - October 9, 2024
With much love and great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Roberta Deighton on October 9, 2024, at the remarkable age of 102. Marion lived her long life with gratitude, kindness, and an ever-present smile, nurturing all who knew her. She was the heart of her family, known for her warm smile, encouraging words, and countless homemade pies and turkey dinners.
Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Paul Mathieson Deighton. Paul was a man with a curious mind, a generous heart, and a love for travel, although his favorite place was always the family cottage he built, surrounded by loved ones.
Marion and Paul will be greatly missed by their children Greg (Kim) and Leslie Potkidis (Angelo), Paul Harrison—husband of their late daughter Patti—and their grandchildren Michael, Tara, Heather, Christopher (Bianca), Stephanie, Laura (Steve), and Nicholas, as well as their great-granddaughter Sophia.
A private family interment for Marion and Paul will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 16th at 12:00 p.m. at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre.
