CANTLE, Robert (Bob) William - of Toronto, Ontario born on March 8, 1922 in Toronto, passed away peacefully at age 96 on October 16, 2018 in Barrie, Ontario.
Bob was the beloved husband of the late Dawn (Hogarth).
He is survived by his children Sharon (Ken) Summers, Rosemary (William) Merritt, Linda Cantle, Ted (Paige) Cantle and Joy (Robert) Cantle-Jones. Bob truly believed in the family and was very proud of everyone including his thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer (Jay) Nodwell, Barb (Alan) Summers, Christina Summers, Laura (Dave) Summers, Susan (Jeret) Holt, Arianna Merritt, Elena Merritt, Olivia Merritt, Weston (Saren) Trott, Courtney Trott, Evan Trott, Grace Cantle and Gloria Cantle.
He was also extremely fond of his five great grandchildren, Thomas and Elijah Summers, Cayden Sinclair-Summers, Gabriel Summers-Bourbon and Xavier Trott.
Friends and family members are welcome to join Bob’s family at the Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Scarborough Bluffs United Church, 3739 Kingston Road, Scarborough. Visitation 1 pm; Celebration of Life Service 2 pm; Reception 3 pm.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Owen Hill Care Community for their loving care for Bob in his last eight months.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Owen Hill Care Community or the Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice in Bob’s memory.
