OGDEN, Helen Loreen (nee Holmes) - December 29, 1916 – July 29, 2019
Passed away peacefully on July 29th, 2019 in her 103rd year at Extendicare, Oshawa where she resided since October 2018.
Loving wife of the late Ronald Ogden and survived by her children Linda and Doug Richardson and Norm and Debbie Ogden.
Grandma of Amanda Ogden, Beth Richardson, Derek Ogden and Jim Richardson.
Gigi of Shawnese, Filomena, Catrina, Tonya, Jackson, Isabelle, Emma and Avery. Great Gigi of Tayviean, Avery, Lucas and Sophia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Helen was the youngest child of Norman and Hattie Holmes. She was pre-deceased by her siblings Edna (1993), Leah (1998), Hazel (2002), Ruth (2000), Wallace (2013) and Clarence (1968).
Helen and Ron enjoyed 49 years of cottage life on Canal Lake.
They were avid members of the Maple Leaf Snowmobile Club. After Ron’s death in 2007, Helen crocheted many afghans for “the old people” in retirement and nursing homes.
According to Helen’s wishes, a private family service has taken place prior to interment at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY.
