IMRIE, George Everett - Entered into rest peacefully at home, in Sunderland, with family by his side on Friday, July 26, 2019.
In his 83rd year, George was the beloved husband of Helen and the late Kathleen “Kay” Hallett (2006).
Loving father of David (Sally), Carolyn Imrie and Ken (Kate), Stepfather to Pam (Rick) and Kevin.
Proud Grandfather of 12 and Great-Grandfather of 11, George retired from 32 years at General Motors, Oshawa.
George’s hobby was taking care of Buddy and Holly, his canine friends and companions to the end.
Friends are invited to raise a glass in honour of George at the Sunderland Legion on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at an open house, 2:00 – 5:00.
If desired, George would have loved donations to the Humane Society of Durham Region.
According to George’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
