DODD, Samuel James  - March 23, 1967 - October 16, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel James Dodd at the age of 52.

Sam passed away on the morning of October 16, 2019 after his long battle with brain cancer.

Sam will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years Roni Sue (née Childs), son Kyle (Megan) and daughter Samantha (Rob) and his furry friends Digby and Chelsea.

Son to Maureen and the late Samuel Dodd, son-in-law to Ron and Bev Childs.

Brother to Sheila, and Linda (Rob), and a brother-in-law to Julie and Karen (Gary). An uncle to all his nieces and nephews; Niki (Natacha), Cal (Julianne), Zack (Carley), Elysia (Andrew), Olivia (Joey), Anthony (Vanessa), Shawna (Jason), Jadelyn, Anson, Brandon (Jess).

Sam will always be remembered for his positive attitude in life, especially throughout his long battle with cancer during which he approached hurdles with a smile, a thumbs up and an “Okay!” He could light up a room with his wide grin and hardy laugh.

Sam enjoyed many aspects of life; his family, his career with Mars, golf, cycling, a love of travel, The Toronto Maple Leafs, cooking and barbequing, and his Scottish heritage. Sam was loved by many and will be missed by all.

The family will be forever grateful and gives special thanks to the Margaret Bahen Hospice staff and volunteers for their care and compassion shown to Sam in his last 3 months.

The celebration of life will be held at Scrambles Restaurant (Foxbridge Golf Course in Uxbridge) on Sunday November 10, 2019 from 3:30 to 6:30.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Margaret Bahen Hospice or Doane House.
