BURNS, Karen Marie   - On Saturday November 23, 2019, Karen Marie Burns (Nee Dales) (52), passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa peacefully with her sons and husband by her side.

Karen was a selfless and compassionate woman, who put family and friends before herself.

She was composed of a generous spirit and the most sensitive heart.

Karen always went above and beyond for those she loved and cared about.

The overwhelming love she demonstrated to each and everyone she met will be carried on in her legacy. Loving mother to Cody Dales and Darby Bradley.

Grandmother to Madison and Skyla Dales. Cherished wife to Ron Burns.

Beloved daughter to Mary and the late John Dales.

Loving sister of Anne Graf (Ed), Brenda Walter (Bill), Brian (Theresa), Patricia Weber (Mike), the late Cathy Dales, Tim (Nancy), Kim Ernewein (Ray), Scott (Tracey), Steve (Jen) and Michelle Pletch (Chris).

Forever loved by her father and mother-in-law Charlie and Dawn. Dear sister- in-law of Scott (Nancy), Ray (Joanne) and Ryan (Stephanie).

Karen will be deeply missed by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, entire extended family, colleagues and many friends, all of whom along with the hospital staff have been exceedingly supportive during this difficult time.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Karen’s life, which, will be held Saturday November 30, 2019 at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex (2440 Durham Regional Hwy 2, Bowmanville, ON). Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with prayer service at 12:00 p.m. and social gathering from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Memorial donations to Canadian Mental Health Association (Durham Region) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
