ALDRED, William 'Ron' - Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on December 29, 2019 in his 78th year.
Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Blomeley) for 53 years.
Loving father to Stephen (Ashley) and Nancy (Joe). Adoring Grandpa to Sophia, Julia, Nicola, Emmagrace and Trent.
Predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Gail Chapman.
Ron will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his family, friends and neighbours.
Ron enjoyed volunteering for many years with the Youth Bowling Association and loved watching all sports, especially cheering for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He also loved the outdoors and gardening.
The family will receive friends at Westminster United Church, 1850 Rossland Road East, Whitby, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Many thanks to the Supportive Care Team at Lakeridge Health, all the nurses and doctors, for their support and guidance.
