DEVLIN, Robert 'Bob' Harry - (February 21, 1937 - April 28, 2020)
Bob passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones after more than a year of coping with Mesothelioma.
Loving dad to Robin (Damian), Harry (Linda) and Lorna (Steve) Stepdad of Kevin (Jennifer), David (Karen) and Maureen (Eric). Survived by his partner Sandra Brown and sister, Vicki Vonk (John).
Predeceased by his spouse of over thirty years, Pauline Koch in May 2016, his parents Helen and Harry and his older brother Gord.
He will be sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a very large extended family.
Bob earned his living as an elevator mechanic, working his entire career for Otis Elevators.
At any given moment in time Bob could have been described as a “hard worker”, a “handyman”, a “wise guy”, a “man’s man”, a “sweetheart”, a “diamond in the rough”, a “gentleman”.
He was fiercely protective of anyone he loved and very proud of his family. Those who knew him knew that under his sometimes gruff exterior, Bob was a very kind, very supportive, well-loved and well respected man.
Words can’t express how much he will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will occur at a future date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob’s memory to The War Amps of Ontario or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
Lots of Love.
