Hepburn MaryHEPBURN, Mary Doreen  -  August 16th, 1924 - January 16th, 2021

Passed away at Extendicare, Halton Hills on Saturday January 16th, 2021 in her 97th year.

Born in Courtice to Anson Ewart and Minnie Mary (Found) Phair August 16th, 1924.

Doreen was the beloved wife of the late David Russell Hepburn of 39 years and loving Mother to the late Janice (George) Gordon, Barbara (Tyler Battams) Coelen and Judy (Lyle) Winfield.

Devoted ‘Little Granny’ to Heather (Stan) Bradley, Charlotte Gordon, Timothy (Nicole) Gordon and Jennifer (Adam) Cass. ‘Granny No!No!’ to great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Taylor, Cheyenne, Delilah, Kamden, Andrew, Emmett and Harper.

Predeceased by her sister Ruby Audrey (late William) McGhee.

Doreen lived in numerous places in Ontario including Bowmanville, Alliston, Trenton, North Bay, Brampton, Enniskillen, Brooklin and Georgetown as well as residing in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Cold Lake Alberta and Langar, England but her heart was happiest with the simple country life with Russell in Enniskillen.

There she enjoyed days both in their flower and vegetable gardens and evenings on the verandah. Thank you to sister-in-law May Francis and to Laura and Breen Duggan for the many family dinners and weekends at the cottage over the years - she always came away with a smile.

A special thank you to Eileen Stephens for the many decades of friendship and welcomed phone calls. Always Loving, Always Loved. Due to Covid restrictions a private family service will take place.

Doreen will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bowmanville Cemetery.

Memorial donations in Doreen’s name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
