BARLOW, Margaret Eileen (nee Devolin)  - (August 4, 1935 – January 24, 2021)

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Barlow at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Sunday January 24, 2021.

Beloved wife and soulmate of Harold for over 63 years. Loving mother of Roland, Charlene (Rory) and Robert (Jillian).

Cherished Grandmother of Riona (Derrick), Brent, Evan and Leah.  Great Grandmother of Amelia, Rayna and Aila.  She will be missed by Judy, Rick, Matt, Keegan, Tanner, Maddie and Jenna.

Dear sister of Fred (Lorraine) Devolin, and Sharon Francis (the late Danny). Sister-in-law of Ila Devolin. Predeceased by her sister Audrey Bateman and brother Ross Devolin.

After retiring from ITT Cannon Electric, Marg thoroughly enjoyed being a Lakeridge Health Volunteer and was involved with St Mark’s United Church.

Her positive, vibrant personality was infectious and she always thought of others. She loved family gatherings and looked forward to family reunions and family time at the cottage.

She was a kind, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Marg will be fondly remembered by family, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Due to the restrictions in place, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at a later date.

No flowers please. As an expression of sympathy, a donation to the Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa would be appreciated.
