Giroux RonaldGIROUX, Ronald Raymond 'Ron' - (August 17th, 1945 - February 20th, 2021)

The family announces with sadness that Ron passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 20, 2021 at the age of 75.

Ron was born in Timmins, ON and lived many years in North Bay, ON, prior to moving to Oshawa in 2009. 

He is survived by his beloved wife Gladys Giroux (McMahon) and devoted sons Rick (Tammy) of Toronto and Matt (Angela) of Oshawa, his 3 cherished grandchildren Emma (Brad), Kiera (the “Brat”), and Nathan, and three great-grandchildren Aiden, William, and Benjamin. 

Ron is also survived by his loving sister Liliane Webber (Jim) of Ottawa, nephews Derek Webber (Megan) of Texas, Jason (Nathalie) of Ottawa, Marc Verville (Amber) of Timmins. Sisters-in-law Helen Lindsay and Dorothy Dow as well as many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Paul-Emile and Rita Giroux (Lessard) and his sister Lise Lacharity (Al).

The family wishes to offer special thanks to the Lakeridge Health Palliative Care Team, VHA Home Services and the CE LHIN (Durham Branch).

Funeral Mass and visitation will be celebrated at St. Gertrude’s Church, 690 King Street East, Oshawa on Saturday, February 27th, with visitation at 10:00 am and Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. 

Should you wish, memorial donations may be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation or a charity of your choice.
