Blyth MargaretBLYTH, Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Mansbridge)  - Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on April 23, 2021 at the age of 86.

Betty was born in Reading England on August 10, 1934.

She spent her childhood between Reading and Edinburgh Scotland.

In her early teens, Betty and the rest of her family moved to Canada and settled in Toronto, only to return to Edinburgh after she finished high school.

It was back in Scotland where Betty met Joseph.

Their courtship lasted a couple of years before Betty’s family decided that Canada would be their home.

Joe followed, and they were married in Toronto 63 years ago.

Although Betty’s health had declined over the past two years, Joe has been steadfast at her side and misses her terribly. Betty will be greatly missed by her son David (Camille) and her daughter Susan (David).

Adored Grandma of Michael (Becky), Alex  (Lucas), Julianne (Justin), Kevin, Cydney (Luc), Emma and Great Grandma to Ivy.   She will be also missed by her sister Frances (Jim), her sisters-in-law in Scotland and her many nieces and nephews in Canada and Scotland. Betty is predeceased by her adored daughter Jennifer.

The family wish to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassion staff of Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for professionalism shown to mum.  Due to COVID-19, a private funeral service will be held.

Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY and  FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787).

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer when we can all meet again.
