MICHAEL, Garry   -  It is with great sadness that the family of Garry Lloyd Michael announce his passing, after a hard fought battle, on July 28, 2021.

Garry passed at his home, surrounded by the love and care of his family, at the age of 80.

Garry leaves behind his beloved and cherished wife of 59 years, Sandra, having just celebrated their anniversary on July 7th, 2021.

Garry’s fun and loving personality will be fondly remembered by his children Chris (Darlene), Heather, and Judi (Joe). He was the cherished Grampa to Nicole (Brian), Adam, Dylan (Rachel), Dustin, Megan (Jeff), and Jacob. Garry was the most loved Poppa to Peyton, Autumn, Savannah and Oakland.

He will be greatly missed by his lifelong friends Gord and Mimi McCarthy and their children, Brenda, David, Lori, Brian and their families. Garry will forever be loved and remembered by all of his extended family and friends.

Some were even fortunate enough to work beside him through his many years at the Toronto Transit Commission, where he was a diligent and recognized worker.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Maddie, who provided the greatest care they could have ever wished for Garry during his fight. Your love and care does not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

As per Garry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will be having a Celebration of Life in his honor at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or ALS Society of Canada.
