Carriere DoreenCARRIERE, Doreen Carriere   -  May 3, 1923 –October 18, 2021 

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital on Monday October 18, 2021 at the age of 98. 

Loving mother to Jo-Anne (Louis) Richard, Gail Simpson, Rick Carriere, Doug Carriere and Sherri (Chad) Carriere.  Adoring Nana to Daniel (Renee) Richard, Jason (Tanya) Richard, Chris Carriere, Mike (Ann) Simpson, Amy (Chuck) Bain and Chad Carriere. 

Proud Great Nana to Troy (Rebecca) Cleland, Shynene (Riley) Richard, Alyshia (Adam) Richard, Makayla (Darien) Richard, Jessee (Katelyn) Blight, Samantha Blight, Sydney (Kaiden) Carriere, Cole Simpson, Joshua Simpson, Rylin Simpson, Benjamin Bain and Brianna Bain.

Dear Great-Great Nana to Grayson Wagstaff, Harper McInnes and Hayden McInnes. 

Doreen will also be greatly missed by her niece, Betty (Eric) Richard as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Doreen is survived by her loving sister-in-law, Mary Jackson.

Predeceased by her husband Frank, her loving daughter-in-law Susan Carriere, and her brother Louis, George and sister Ruth.  She will be remembered for her loving devotion to the Toronto Maple Leaf’s and Toronto Blue Jays.

She enjoyed knitting/crocheting, shopping, camping and most of all spending time with her family.

Doreen and her late husband Frank, travelled many summers to Saskatchewan and Alberta to visit family. 

A family graveside service will be held at the Pontypool Cemetery on Monday October 25, 2021 at 1 p.m. where Doreen will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Frank. 

Donations in Doreen’s honour may be made to Toronto Sick Kids or the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Fund.
