Landon AureenLANDON, Aureen Yvonne (NEE JACKSON)   -  (October 14th, 1931 – November 2nd, 2021)

Although our hearts are filled with gratitude for the gift of her life, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aureen Landon on November 2nd, 2021, in her 91st year, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Aureen was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Vernon Landon.

Together they nurtured a loving family. He supported her in his constant, quiet and humble way, and she supported him through his many trials with Parkinson’s Disease.

She is also predeceased by her parents Samuel and Irene Jackson; her siblings Marilyn (Jim) Prescott and Sam Jackson; and her grandchildren Scott, Stacy, and Bryan.

She was a loving mother to Susan (Frank) Sanderson, Bill (Carol) Landon, and Judy (Allan) Conquer; devoted grandmother to Anna, Mary-Claire (Ian), Bevan (Katie), Elise (Chris), Kris (Jocelyn), Kelly (William), Geoffrey, James, Gabriel, and Robert; and loving great-grandmother to Emmy, Vernon, Russell, and Summer.

Her extended family was also very important to her, including her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Aureen took great pride in her children and grand-children and delighted in the new discoveries of her great-grandchildren. She cherished her lasting friendships made through her church, her neighbourhoods, and her volunteerism both in Scarborough and Oshawa.

She always embraced the latest in fashion - whether it be her clothing, eye-wear, hair styles or window treatments. She found joy in her kitchen and knitting and shared both with her friends and family.

She was an easy conversationalist who loved talking to people. She had a tremendous memory and was always able to bridge connections with the people she met.

We welcome family and friends to visit with us at McINTOSH-ANDERSON-KELLAM FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Saturday November 6th, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

Due to COVID we ask that all visitors be double vaccinated (vaccine passport and proof of identification required).

Please call the funeral home or click on the link below to secure a time slot to visit.

Donations in memory of Aureen can be made to Parkinson Canada, Durham Youth Services, or a  CHARITY of choice.
