Treen VilmaTREEN, Vilma Loreen (nee Irwin)   - September 3, 1932 – December 29, 2021

With her children by her side, on December 29th, 2021, at the age of 89, left us to be with her beloved husband Norman of 71 years and cherished son Barry (Laurie).

Forever loved by her children Dale (Cecilia Casuccio), Scott, Kerry Drews (Mike) and Ken (Lisa).

Special Grandma to Amanda, Colleen, Kylie Giroux (Joe), Kurtis, Kelsey Wiseman (Jeff), Quinn, Mackenzie and Kathryn, Jason (Alex), Doug, Nicholas (Tashawna).

Adored great-grandma to James and Keeghan, Adelyn, Sophie, Maverick, Siena, Josie, and Jack.

Born on a farm in Omemee, ON, September 3rd, 1932 to the late Andrew and Ellen Irwin, Loreen and her twin brother Laverne (predeceased) were the youngest of 9 children.

Predeceased by brother Clifford, sisters Myrtle, Ruby, Mable, Jane, Ione. Survived by her sister Ilean and sister-in-law Claire.

Loreen was an adored Aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Loreen cherished her family immensely.

She enjoyed the many annual family weekends at Stricker's resort in Burleigh Falls, excited for sleepovers at her children's homes, attending the annual Snowflake bazaar, playing bingo at family gatherings, listening to country music, thrift shopping, going to the casino, sipping on pina coladas and her love for fresh caught pickerel.

We were privileged to have our mom to her beautiful age of 89. Her great sense of humor, her resilience, she was "up" for anything.

She never gave up her dream to walk again, her lust for life was contagious. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff for their exceptional care, warmth and compassion Loreen received at Caressant Care McLaughlin in Lindsay.

A private family service will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME  .

A Celebration of Life will be held for Loreen in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to SickKids Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated.

Online condolences may be made at oshawafuneralhome.com .
