JACKSON, Gordon “Gord” Andrew Jackson  -  Born August 27, 1942 in Hamilton, Ontario to Andrew Jackson & Edna Dibble-Jackson.

He had 6 siblings, Doris, Jean, Bernice, John, Roy & Barbara, along with 27 wonderful Nieces and Nephews.

Gord passed away, in his 80th year, in the Port of Newcastle, peacefully in his sleep January 16, 2022, after a courageous battle with Cancer and Heart Disease.

Gord leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Suzanne Linda Fournier-Jackson and their 2 awesome children Lisa Anne Jackson-Gibson and Sheri Lynn Jackson-Telford along with their Husbands Kevin and Barry and 3 outstanding Grandchildren, Nathan, Rachel and Kathryn.

Gord started off as a full time Truck Driver and went on to become a Golf Course Superintendent and retired in 2001 from the City of Toronto as a Forestry Bi-Law-Officer after 29 hard working years.

He enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life. Time spent with his family and friend and playing cards with a “shot” of Crown Royal. His Hobbies were researching his very Historic Family Tree, Gardening and Woodworking.

Gord had an easy going personality and despite his pain he didn’t complain and stayed strong to the end.

Due to Covid Restrictions a small private Memorial Service will be held.
