JONES, Marie (Hockley) Jones - Passed away on January 20, 2022 at the age of 90 following a period of deteriorating health.
She was born in 1931 in Uxbridge, Ontario to Robert and Helen Hockley and raised on their farm near Uxbridge.
She worked in the Canada Life building and was a secretary for Ontario Hydro until her first child was born.
She met Edward Jones and they married in November 1956.
They had three children Ken, Carrie and Janet and lived in Thornhill and North York, Ontario.
Marie is survived by her children Ken Jones (Lorelei Jones), Carrie Jones and Janet Jones, grandchildren Wesley Jones and Greg Jones (Alessia Jones), David Hobbs and Andrew Hobbs.
She is also survived by her sister Shirley Mount as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Low & Low Funeral Home, Uxbridge, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Due to COVID protocols, guests are required to register by contacting the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
