LEAVER, Gordon "Gord" Leaver  - Gord passed away peacefully at Port Perry Hospital on Friday, March 11, 2022 in his 86th year.

Beloved husband to Carolyn for 63 years.

Loving father to Nancy (Joe), Mike (Jodie) and Doug (Dorothy).

Proud grandfather to Ben (Alysha), Meghan (Jeremy), Austin, Brock, James, Kyle and Kevin. Great grandfather to Leo. He is survived by his sister Shirley Haines.

Gord will be missed by all his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Ada and Johnny Leaver and his sister Gwen.

Gord was a golf enthusiast.  He loved everything about the game of golf, except his score at the end.  He loved to play it, loved to watch it, and travelled the world to experience famous golf courses.

He was known to many of his golf buddies as “Pipeline Leaver”.

Travelling was another of Gord’s passions.  He experienced many trips all over the world with his loving wife, Carolyn including Scotland, Australia, Portugal, Hawaii, and yearly trips to Florida.

In his work life, he was an entrepreneur and an exceptional sales person.  He started working at 3M and eventually started his own company, Spectrodata Communications Inc. which is still in operation today.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Gord’s Life will be held at the Low and Low Funeral Home, Port Perry on Saturday, March 19 at 2p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Immediately following the service, a reception will be held.

Donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal or the Salvation Army.
