SHAW, David Lee - (lovingly known as Grandpa Dave)
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of David on Monday March 14, 2022 following a long illness.
David was surrounded by his loving wife of 50 years Cathy (née Ritchie), his children Sandra (Jay) and Jarrod, as well as his beloved grandchildren Erik and Heidi.
David was predeceased by his parents Howard and Florence Shaw, his mother-in-law Gladys Ritchie, his sister Mary Anne and his brother Tom.
He will be greatly missed by his father-in-law Henry Ritchie, sister-in-law Lorna Ritchie, as well as his siblings Danny (Fran), Joe (Char), Mike (Maria), Rob, Laurie and Rebecca (Sue).
Uncle David was loved by so many nieces and nephews that will remember his sense of humor and funny antics.
David will be remembered for his generosity and his dedication and devotion to his family.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Markham-Stouffville Hospital, with a special thank you to Megan, Kendra, Whitney and Drs. Yuen and Shi.
Thank you to Naomi from ParaMed for her compassion while caring for David.
