Jorgensen GwynethJORGENSEN, Gwyneth Alma Jorgensen  -   Age 80, of Oshawa, Ontario passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022.

Gwyneth was born May 14, 1941 in South Whales. 

Gwyneth was Sir. William Dugdale’s private secretary while in England.

In December of 1976, she emigrated to Canada with her first husband and two daughters.

Once settled down in Ajax, Ontario Gwyneth worked at ARC Industries with The Association for Community Living as their secretary.

In 1981 She moved to Beaumont, Alberta and became an Executive Secretary for a Chartered Accounting Firm.

On the move again back to Ontario, Gwyneth found herself returning to The APW Association for Community Living. This time at their Ajax location as a payroll and Personnel Officer. In April of 1991 Gwyneth met her soulmate Niels Jorgensen, they married June 19, 1992.

Both decided to take an early retirement, move to Nanaimo, BC and travel the world together.

Being widowed and lonely she came back to Ontario in August of last year to be closer to family.

In the past, while in Ontario Gwyneth was an avid member of the ACW and sang in the choir. She also sat on the board of directors for The Oshawa Symphonic Orchestra. When out in BC, Gwyneth was part of: The Welsh Society & Danish Club, a founding member or The Ontario Ladies “Trillium Transplants”, a Deacon of The Lantzville Church and a driving force behind The Baby Bottle Fundraiser for The Pregnancy Crisis Center.

She also sat on the Condo Committee for the building in which she lived. Gwyneth has now crossed over to begin her journey to be reunited with her soulmate.

She is whole heartedly missed by her two daughters, Cerylan Gagnon (Ivan & two children Matthew & Megan (Dakota Lesperance)) and Bronwen Field (Gordon and daughter Abiona).

Also missed by greatgrandchildren: Mason Gagnon, Elijah & Isac Lesperance. Step sons: Mark Jorgensen, Steve Jorgensen (Patricia & son Ryan) and Kenny Jorgensen (Melissa) & Kenny’s daughter Pia (son Charlie) other sons (Karsten & Wyatt).

A memorial visitation for Gwyneth will be held Thursday April 14,2022 from 12:30 pm to 2:30pm.

Following the memorial visitation will be a graveside service from 3:00pm to 3:30pm at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens, 1757 Church St. N, Ajax.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gwyneth’s memory may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, http://cancer.ca/en/.
