COWLE, Donald Gilbert Cowle   -  August 1, 1936 – April 15, 2022 

GM Retiree with 35 years Service.

It is with heavy hearts the family of Don Cowle announces he passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday April 15, 2022. 

Don was the beloved husband of Ruth (nee Adams) for 67 years and loving father to Donna (Bill Mairs), Cindy (Steve Millson), Donald (Karen) and Ken (Sharon). 

He was a loving grandpa/papa to 9 grandchildren – Jenn, Amanda (Warren), Adam (Amanda), Andrew (Shannon), Matt (Jay), Mitch, Dylan, Cassidy (Tyler) and Cody. 

Don had 8 great grandchildren – Tyler, Brandon (Erin), Travis, Ella, Cole, Ryder, Ava and Jace and 3 great great grandchildren – Hannah, Blake and Jade. 

Don is predeceased by his parents Albert (Gordon) (1974) and Mabel Irene (1981). 

Don is survived by his sister Joan Cowles and predeceased by his sister Dorothy LeBlanc (2017) and brother Bill Cowle (2000).  Don loved getting together with his family and friends. 

Don had been an active member of the Legion looking after the membership for many years. 

We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville and Oshawa for their great care. 

We would also like to thank the PSW’s and nurses that have come to the house to look after him the past couple of years. 

The family will have a private service and will hold at Celebration of Life at a later date. 

Donations in Don’s memory can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178 or a  CHARITY of your choice.
