TIM, Hans Jurgen Tim   - 73, of Whitby ON, beloved son of the late Emilie and Arnold Tim, passed away on September 3, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer.

He will be profoundly missed by his wife of 50 years, Kathryn, and lovingly remembered by his children; Corinne Vivian (Woodrow), Matthew Tim (Melanie) and Michelle Tiller (Darren); and granddaughter Madison.

Born in Bregenz, Austria, Hans was the eldest of six children (Albin, Renate, Sylvia, Harry and Horst).

After serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Hans continued his career with the Toronto Police Service where he served honourably for 35 years, retiring as a Sergeant.

Hans was active in his community, volunteering his time to serve food to those in need, working on election campaigns, acting as trustee for his church, and convening and promoting pickleball; coordinating clinics for seniors. Hans was a family man.

His family hopes this same attendance will be received as relatives and friends are invited to attend GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 540 Cromwell Ave, Oshawa (905-728-4381) on Monday, September 12 at 1 p.m. for the funeral service followed by the graveside service at MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY, 21 Garrard Rd, Whitby, at 2:30 p.m. The family are grateful for the prayers and acts of kindness shown during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Grace Lutheran Church in Oshawa or the charity of your choice.
