BERTRAND, Marilyn Harriet - September 5, 1935 - September 29, 2022
Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on September 29, 2022 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by her loving husband Robert Francis (2002).
Adored mother of Bonnie (Paul), Wendy (Heather), Gordon (Anne), Kelly (Lynda), Daniel (Linda), Judy (Gary) and late Sandra.
Cherished grandmother of Lisa (Chris), Steven, Mary, Nicole, Gregory (Chelsey), Katie (Mike), Julie (Kyle), Melissa (Pat), Rob (Jennifer), Sarah (Jason) and great grandmother of Peyton, Gavin, Hailey, Jackson, Thomas, Tucker, Annabelle, Ella, Rory, Adam, Grace, Emilia, Avery, Caydon and Declan.
Marilyn will also be missed by extended relatives and friends and will be forever remembered for her 26 years of service to Durham Region in many capacities, as well as for her artistic talents and giving of herself, especially if the cause moved her.
She enjoyed travel, music, art, theatre and spending time with friends.
Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY and FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Friday October 7, 2022 from 11 am until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 12 noon.
The family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the caring and compassionate staff of Hillsdale Terraces for professionalism shown to Marilyn and her family.
