MAK Christmas Memorial 2022

DIOTTE, Bernard Alfred Diotte   -  It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that our family announces the passing of “Bernie” on Tuesday November 8, 2022 after a head-on battle with cancer at home, embraced by his wife (together for more than 66 well lived years) and his daughter Kim.

“Papa” will be forever in the hearts of grandchildren Laurel (Rich), Garrett, Natalie (Joe), Bridgette (Jordan), great grandsons Ryan, Benjamin and Henry.

He will be deeply missed by family, friends, friends that are family (you know who you are) and neighbors.

Bernie was passionate for family, cottaging on Baptiste Lake (since 1967), coffee shop club and the “HABS”

Bernie was a retired GM employee, resident of Pickering for 64 years, past Lions Club member and hockey coach.

Bernie always had time for family, helping anyone who needed a hand and showed his love by being a “caretaker”.

Bernie loved life, please honor him by donating to a CHARITY of your choice and in keeping with his wishes and no nonsense approach, a simple interment will take place with family.
