THORNTON, John Thornton - Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday March 27, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville at the age of 60.
Loving husband and soulmate of Carla (nee Powers) for 38 years.
He was very proud of his son Johnny and daughter Jenna (Nick) and always there for them. Much loved grandpa of Elora, Lyla and Brody. They will remember him for the endless sweets and play times they shared.
Dear brother of Vince(Crystal) and Ken(Joanne). He will be greatly missed by the Powers family, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
John was a dedicated employee at General Motors for 35 years.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023 at Mount Lawn Funeral Home, 21 Gararrd Road, Whitby, ON, from 5:00p.m-8:00p.m. A chapel service will be held in the chapel on Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 at 11:00a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
