1930 - 2023
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Rita Bell (nee Bockerman), at 92 years of age.
She died peacefully in her sleep on May 9, 2023.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Terry, and was adored by her 8 children Chris(Kathy), Gina(John), Rick(Terrie), Greg(Grace), Brad(Loren), Rod(Shari), Holly(John) and Michelle (Darryl), 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Rita was the cherished daughter of Kristian and Marta Bockerman.
Rita loved her large family and all the adventures we shared camping, skiing and sailing.
Her warm nature and passion for entertaining made our home the gathering place for family and friends and many memorable parties.
We will all remember her sense of humour, fun and adventure and most of all her beautiful smile. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
A celebration of Rita’s life will be held on Sunday June 4, 2023 from 2-6pm at: The Lake House, 600 Liverpool Rd, Pickering, ON. (Dedicated event parking is available on site).
