BOWMAN, Margery  -  Dear sweet Margery passed away May 15, 2023, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital following an incredibly brave battle with cancer.

The doctors, nurses and staff at both Lakeridge Health Oshawa and St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto are thanked for their skill and devotion while taking care of Margery for the past 6 months.

No words are sufficient to describe the support, professionalism, and caring they demonstrated throughout Margery’s ordeal.

Margery was born in Plympton, Devonshire, England in February 1952, and emigrated to Quebec City, Canada in July 1958.

Since her marriage to Stewart in October 1975, Margery and the family have resided in England, Ontario, British Columbia and even South Korea.

Close to home, her pride and joy has been her husband Stewart and their two wonderful children, Emma (Willer) and Mark, together with their spouses Mark Willer and Rebecca Yeoman and five grandchildren Oliver, Callum, Charlie, Harper and Knox. Margery is also survived by her older brother Michael.

Margery is predeceased by her father, Arthur Fitton and mother, Ivy (nee Rock), as well as her younger brother Nick.

Margery will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery, 21 Gerrard Road, Whitby, Ontario, followed by a private family interment also at  MOUNT LAWN CEMETERY.

In lieu of flowers, it is Margery’s wish that donations in her remembrance be made to the R.S.McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre (DRCC) located in Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, or the charity of your choice.

Stewart and the family would also like to extend our deepest heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our family and friends for the many messages of love and support during this difficult time.
