Drew SusanDREW, Susan Louise (née Heard)  - After a brief illness faced with courage, Susan passed peacefully at the age of 75 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

She was the beloved wife of 52 years to Brian Drew.

Amazing Mum to Stephen (Eve) and Amy (Andrew).

Adored Nana of Reed, Owen, Gavin and Ethan. Her grandkids were her world. Susan was the only daughter to Bud (2000) and Isabel Heard.

Proud big sister of Jim Heard with loving memories of David Heard (1953). ‘Aunt Zoo’ will be forever missed by her many nieces, nephews, and brother and sisterin-laws. Raised in Whitby, Susan was always proud of her family heritage and Whitby roots. ‘Mama Sue’ loved to help others as often as she could - especially all of her ‘extra’ kids.

She also had a love of O’Henry chocolate bars, snuggling babies, capturing photos of those she loved most, making to-do lists for her to-do lists, and laughing until she cried with her friends.

Although she worked for Toronto Hydro and Snowden Rubber for many years, Susan will also be remembered for keeping everyone in her life organized and being a self-proclaimed ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’. She would do anything to help those she loved.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at  W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL (110 Dundas St. E, Whitby, ON) on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 7:00pm-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, followed by a reception.

Service will also be live-streamed for those unable to attend.

Donations in Susan’s memory can be directed to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre or the R.S. McLaughlin Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
