O'GRADY, Francis  -  "Frank" It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Frank O'Grady on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the age of 84.

Frank passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband of Liz, a devoted father, and "Baba" (grandad).

Frank is survived by his son, Paul, and grandchildren, Aidan and Ronan. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Bridget O'Grady, and sister, Claire Casey.

Frank will be missed by his sisters, Patsy, Eva, Mary, and brother Michael, as well as by his many nieces and nephews. Frank was born in Sixmilebridge, County Clare, Ireland.

With a sense of adventure, he left at age seventeen for England and initially worked in the hospitality industry before entering the tool and die trade, in which he spent his career. He first came to Canada in the 70s, working in the construction industry, before putting down roots with his young family in the early 80s.

Baba Frank prided himself on hard work, integrity, and ingenuity.

He had a passion for travel, food, experiencing other cultures, and was a fervent Toronto Blue Jays fan.

He smiled easily, loved animals, and touched the lives of many. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff in the Supportive Care Unit at Oshawa Hospital for helping our family through this difficult period.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax.

If you wish to attend the event remotely, please contact Paul or Amanda.
