Holyk RobertHOLYCK, Robert Dennis Holyck -

APRIL 14, 1957 – MARCH 3, 2024

On Sunday March 3rd Robert passed away peacefully in his home.

A loving and devoted partner for many years to Patricia.

Beloved father of Shannon (Brent Saunders). Adored Grandfather of Zechariah and Hannah.

Rob was a firearms enthusiast and spent much of his spare time perfecting his skills as a true marksman.

In his early teen years, he joined the armed forces cadets and in a short time had the distinguished honour of becoming the youngest member of the Bisley Shoot team and being in the top 25 sharpshooters in Canada.

In 1974, Rob travelled with his team to England to be inspected and display their skills to the Queen and the Queen mother.

Upon his return to Canada, he joined with pride the Toronto Scottish Queens Regiment and once again, he had the distinguished honour of being the youngest member of the team.

He enjoyed many summers exploring new places on his classic motorcycles, which he meticulously maintained with pride.

He was a collector of many unique items and over the years compiled an interesting display of historic artifacts. He had a love for the outdoors and nature, music, learning new skills and always striving for perfection in all he did.

We will miss his sense of humour, witty remarks, incredible intelligence and most of all the love he had for his three girls Pat, Shannon and Hannah.

The absence he leaves in our hearts is profound, but we are grateful for every moment we had with him and he will be with us forever. As per Rob's wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.

Arrangements entrusted to the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484).
