O'NEILL, Josephine  -  Surrounded by her loving family, Josephine O’Neill (nee O’Reilly) passed away in her home on March 8, 2024.

 

She was born March 19, 1932 in Dublin, Ireland and moved to Canada in 1965, with her husband Patrick O’Neill (predeceased 1992), four children in tow and a set of twins to follow.

The kettle was always on to welcome friends and her greatest pride was her family.

 

She will be greatly missed by her 6 children: Gerard (Susan), Caroline (Sam), Bernadette (John), Martina (Gary), Betty and Patricia (Nino).

 

She also has 16 grandchildren: Jennifer (Nathan), Chantelle, Dennis (Cassie), Andrew (Crystal), Matthew (Leah), Katherine (Chris), Alison (Shady), John (Marissa), Patrick, Amanda (Shane), Gerard (Adam), Helaina (Gabriel), Briana (Salvatore), Bailey, Alex (Ashley) and Brendan.

 

She also has 14 great-grandchildren: Owen, Aislinn, Avery, Caleigh, April, Zoey, Ariya, Natalie, Cayson, Gideon, Grace, Michael, Sophie and Milton.

 

Special thanks to the caring nurses Julie Miller and Stephanie Whittaker for their help and support at this difficult time.

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at De Stefano Funeral Home, Oshawa, ON. The funeral service will be held on Thursday March 14, 2024 at 1:30 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 373 Simcoe Street South, Oshawa, ON. A burial will follow in Whitby, ON.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Scarborough would be greatly appreciated.
