James Kenneth Gauthier

December 12, 1938 - February 18, 2025

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Gauthier on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Sault Area Hospital, in his 86th year.

Jim will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years, Pauline. He was a devoted father to Kenny (Anne) and Jamie (Renee),
and a loving grandfather to Dylan, Kyle (Kaitlyn), Ashley, Alex, Ryan, Jason (Amanda), and James (Adrian).
He was also a proud great-grandfather to Mila, Riley, Immigen, Isabel, and Elliot.

Predeceased by his mother, Rose Gauthier, and his baby boy, Ronnie.
Jim was the cherished brother of Gary, Diane, and the late Noella, and an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Jim was an athlete who spent countless hours on the ballfield, coaching and umpiring.
He was also an avid bowler who cherished the camaraderie of his teammates and opponents, always demonstrating true sportsmanship.
Jim loved driving a school bus, a job he held for many years, referring to the generations of children he transported as "his kids."

Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Father Jeff Shannon.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses on 3C and the Dialysis Unit at the Sault Area Hospital for their exceptional care of Jim.

Memorial donations may be made to ARCH, payable by cheque or online.

Linda Madonna (nee Stewart), aged 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Havilland Bay surrounded by family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Linda enjoyed fishing, cooking, and playing dice. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no services. Memorial donations to ARCH are appreciated.
