Douglas Lita

December 2, 1944 - February 20, 2025

Douglas Lita passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born in Manila, Philippines, on December 2, 1944, Doug pursued his passion for learning, earning a Master's in Chemical Engineering from
Wayne State University and an MBA from the University of Detroit. He later became a certified Professional Engineer in Ontario,
where he built a long and successful career in chemical engineering.

Doug was the beloved husband of Dionisia Lita, a proud father to Valerie and Edrea, and a loving father-in-law to Craig Klint and Simon Nattress.
He was a devoted grandfather to Calvin Klint, Clara Klint, Maira Nattress, and George Nattress. He was predeceased by his parents,
Anastacio Lita and Eng Lee, and his siblings Luz Li, Gloria Li, and Romeo Li. He will be dearly missed by his extended family,
including his siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many cherished friends.

Doug had a passion for travel and exploration, venturing across the US, Canada, and Asia. He loved road trips, photography, and technology,
always eager to share his latest gadgets and capture precious memories through his camera lens. His love for his heritage,
his dedication to his family, and his thirst for knowledge shaped his remarkable life.

Visitation will be held at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Thursday, February 27, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
In keeping with Doug’s wishes, he will be repatriated and laid to rest in the Philippines.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in his honor.

James "Jim" Arthur Anderson passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2025, at the age of 69. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Francesco (Frank) Venanzio De Amicis passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Beloved husband of Nadia for over 55 years, devoted father to Francesca and proud grandfather to Owen, Alexandra, and Cooper. Frank will also be dearly missed by his extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held on January 26, 2025, at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Barrie, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church on January 27, 2025. Cremation will take place afterward. Donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or RVH Heart Program are welcomed.

Peacefully, at the age of 103, Teresa (née McNamara) passed away on January 7, 2025. Teresa will be forever remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, faith, and love touched everyone she met.

Visitation will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home in Barrie on January 14, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on January 15.
