James "Jim" Arthur Anderson passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2025, at the age of 69. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Arrangements entrusted to Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Barrie. Jim will be laid to rest at Thornton Union Cemetery in Spring 2025, with details to follow.

Francesco (Frank) Venanzio De Amicis passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Beloved husband of Nadia for over 55 years, devoted father to Francesca and proud grandfather to Owen, Alexandra, and Cooper. Frank will also be dearly missed by his extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held on January 26, 2025, at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, Barrie, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church on January 27, 2025. Cremation will take place afterward. Donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or RVH Heart Program are welcomed.

Peacefully, at the age of 103, Teresa (née McNamara) passed away on January 7, 2025. Teresa will be forever remembered as a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, faith, and love touched everyone she met.

Visitation will take place at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home in Barrie on January 14, 2025, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on January 15.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Barrie Women and Children’s Shelter.

1930 - December 24, 2024

Peacefully passed at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, December 24th, 2024, at the age of 94 years. Cherished husband of the late Sophie (2024) for 73 years. Loving father of Dora Hobbs (the late Gord) and Rose Blackwell. Proud grandfather of Serena Kelly (Ron), Sherri-Lynne Dolk, Shannon Calladine, Victoria Ffrench (Mike), and Abigail Muriella (Nick).

Great grandfather of Ashley, Kristen, Colton, Alex, Devany, Daylan, Addyson, Beckham, Keith, and Sophie, and great-great grandfather of Ethan, Hudson, Logan, Kaiya, Keifer, Tyson, and Annabella. Predeceased by his great grandchildren Harley, Tina, and Brady. Will be sadly missed by his many extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie, on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, at 10 am. Interment to immediately follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie. Guests are invited to remain for a reception gathering held inside the St. Mary’s Church. Should guests not wish to attend the cemetery interment, please make your way inside the Church Hall, and the family will join once the interment is complete.

In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s memory may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre designated to the Hudson Regional Cancer Program or the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County and are greatly appreciated by the family.
